I am going to be in the Philly area for an overnight this coming weekend. What's the best cheesesteak in town?
I did Gino's and Pat's a few years ago but have read there are better. Suggestions?

Cheesesteak - Jim's on South St
Dinic's for their pork sandwich
Both of these are top notch.

Why don't you give the suggestions you read?

John's Roast Pork weirdly has the best. I would say Jim's South was #2.

My advice. Watch a few videos and see how they do it and use that as a basis. Mark Wiens just had a decent one. But there are tons of videos on it.
It's subjective and Gino's and Pat's is just touristy.

Bumping an old thread to hear about your experience and which place you tried. Going for a work conference next month.
