it seems no amount of cheating can save cheny but whats the story with the murkowski situation?

i sure hope she gets defeated in a very embarrassing way so there is no doubt how much she is hated as a traitor to america.

is anyone here from alaska that knows what the word is locally on this?

I saw an article last week on how Murkowski was behind Alaska changing to Ranked Choice voting, so she'd have a chance to win.

She'll win because of ranked choice voting.

Most recent prognastications I have seen seem to think she will survive due to rank order voting. Her job approval has been going up recently and her family name is hard to overcome.

She is running in the special election for the House that was vacated when the guy there died.

I heard she was doing very well in that race and probably will easily win it.

The winner of that race will be just the 5th person to represent AK in the House since it was admitted to the Union in 1959. Don Young held the seat for the last five decades.

I wouldn’t sleep on Begich. Especially with ranked choice. The Democrats in AK are going to line up against Palin in their 2/3/4th choices.

Biggest thing it seems so far up here is she has the support of the liberal strongholds. Yes, even in Alaska we have liberals.

I do think with the new con of rank choice voting she will pull it out. They do a good job of explaining how to rank them, but not much on the you don't have to rank them and can only vote for 1.
