The past 2 years have earned it. We’ll be ranked by week 3 unless we meltdown in Nola. In which case we didn’t deserve a ranking.

A&M has recruited well enough, and it feels like just good qb play away from a top 5 team….similar to us in the les miles era.
Also, Kentucky is ranked. OP just didn’t highlight them.

Good.
Kelly and the coaching staff can use the "no one respects us!" card. I like the idea of players having a big chip on their shoulders.
If we take care of business against good teams, things will work themselves out. We're not like Utah State, where not being initially ranked is a huge hurdle to overcome. We beat Florida State, Mississippi State and Auburn, we will be a top 15-20 team in time for the Tennessee game.
