I don’t include myself in the “cliff jumpers” category, but the last two seasons did not live up to the previous six.
You will be missing out on some great television if you don’t watch it. I think the quality of the first six seasons more than makes up for the dropping off in the last two seasons.

the finale of season six was perfect and a great place to stop watching. The only thing you’ll miss that’s worth your time is the dragon attack on the lannister convoy and you can watch that on YouTube
