I think ultimately he was correctly rated overall, but his junior season was a tad underrated.

Fun fact: Drake started 0 games as a junior in 09, but put up almost the same stat line that he had as an every game starter/ All American in 2010.

2009: 50 tackles (11 TFL), 4 sacks
2010: 56 tackles (13 TFL), 6 sacks

He led the DL in every stat in 09.

Also, Claude Wroten doesn't get much mention here. Mostly recency bias and his NFL career flaming out pretty quick. But dude was a beast.

Don’t think he played DT but always thought Melvin Oliver was VERY underrated on the DL during his tenure in the early to mid 2000’s.

Underrated = most DTs in that time other than Anthony the freak Johnson.

Thought he was going to be the greatest of them all. Didnt quite happen at lsu but he still made it to the nfl

Josh Downs looked so badass wearing #77 on the DL. May not fit the category but Al Woods still starts for the Seahawks 13 years later and is coming off the best season of his career.

As crazy as it may sound, I feel like Glenn Dorsey is to a degree. He’s the most decorated defender to ever play for LSU and was the most dominant. His name and number ought to be displayed in Death Valley with the other greats
