Depending on how many of these guys are playing for no money, idk how you can call these things anything other than exhibitions

Why on earth would you be interested in watching tournament golf with nothing on the line?

Did one side have an endless supply of money to buy all of the good players? Or was it a more even playing field? These AFL/NFL

AFL owners had more money and were able to draft, lure top players to their league. NFL owners acknowledged this fact and helped bring about a merger.

So every other professional sport game in the entire world is an exhibition. Every single one of those players is getting paid win or lose.

but this board has never heard about him since he's not on the PGA Tour.

He won the "Gateway to Mizuno Open" with a field rating of 23. The John Deere with a terrible field has a field rating of 53. That's why no one has heard of him.

That's a weird way to agree that it's because he doesn't play on the PGA Tour..

Original point was that a LIV golfer has gained OWGR pts (not in a major) & has moved up in OWGR ranking since joining LIV.

The linked article seems to suggest otherwise about the distribution of prize money.

No one knows. The attorney said the opposite in the hearing. We won’t know until discovery if and when that happens.

Does tennis get paid win or lose? I would think that is the closest thing to golf.

I’m asking for clarification. Is that what your post was saying? If there aren’t people playing for no money it is an exhibition? If I misunderstood your point, I welcome a clarification.

I guess all the NFL, MLB and NBA games are exhibition too since they have already been paid and nothing is “on the line”

That argument is dumb.

It is an exhibition. Anyone who got 10+ mil has no reason to win because they won’t get paid until they make over their guaranteed amount. With no world golf rankings points and no way to make a major added.

Let’s say you got 10mil and I use that because Pat Perez and that’s the lowest of any named player, you havevto win 3 times to make more. DJ will never win enough to make more.

And it makes things different if it’s a team sport.

You can act dumb all you want but tournament golf with a 48 man field that is on salary with no prestige or legacy building shite on the line is absolutely terrible watching material.

Add to it that some players aren’t even playing for price money at all and it’s just a total shite product.

Do you have a link that says some players are playing for no prize money? Anyone?
