Idk Nuss would need to make a huge jump for me to be excited about a season with him at QB.

If he’s legit I don’t Care that it would turn off the other QBs.

But I think He’s a bit of a “gunslinger” if you’re being nice. I think Kelly said he’s the kind of guy where you don’t want to coach out the positives to get rid of the negatives.

He’s can scramble and escape pressureZ we’ve seen that. We’ve also seen him take big sacks.

We’ve seen him throw passes on the run into coverage that gave his WR a chance to win a one on one match up.

We’ve also seen him throw a few
Picks trying to do too much.

I just don’t see the love for him based off the actually football we’ve seen him play.

He absolutely can make a huge jump, but he has to do that. No one really
Knows if he has.

Agree completely, if Nuss has sured up the accuracy and learned how to operate the entire offense its definitely a possibility he can pass Brennan. I’m not advocating for anyone but there’s no evidence that Nuss is head and shoulders above the others.

I agree that we haven’t seen it yet, but I don’t think it’s unreasonable to expect him to take a pretty big step.

With the small sample size we have, his issues appear to be mostly centered around decision making. I would think that’s one of the biggest areas of improvement for QB’s from year 1-2, in general. Maturity, not trying to do too much, taking what the defense gives you, etc.

So yeah, I get why people think Nuss can be really good this year. I just don’t get why everyone is so damn emotionally invested in this QB battle. I mean.. does anyone really think the staff isn’t going to go with the guy they think gives us the best chance to win?

The word camaraderie doesn’t mean they have good timing on routes or have been working together more. That’s not what that word means.

So you are saying a WR cannot have camaraderie with a QB? Where are you going with this? Did you even look up the definition, because I don’t think that word means what you think it does

No

“ mutual trust and friendship among people who spend a lot of time together.”

Vs

“ More about work put in, being on same page, comfortability catching balls”

Again you can put in work, be on the same page, be comfortable catching balls without being friends and you admit that.

You can also have great camaraderie while not being the best QB on the team.

But also according to all the same report Daniels has been putting in work with the WRs too.

This is a 2 qb race between Daniels and Nuss. I know you guys are emotionally attached to MB and can't fathom anyone but him starting, but the fact is this - there is a 0% chance of him starting at LSU this season

So you think his play last year was good enough as is?

Sammy, I think all three LSU quarterbacks are talented enough but all have to show improvement. Which of the three will? IDK!

You do realize you're the only person in this thread saying that a quarterback has 0% chance of starting.

The posters you claim to be emotionally attached aren't saying that Daniels absolutely won't start or that Nuss absolutely won't start.

In fact most of them have said that if Nuss makes a big jump then he should start. And that would be a solid thing because if he starts he is better than Myles and Daniels, both of which the majority of posters considered to be good quarterbacks.

Also never say never. Kirklin started at quarterback for LSU last year

I said nuss needs to make a big jump and you called me clueless.

Don’t turn around and say “well every QB needs to improve”

So, you agree that Nuss needs to make a big jump.

LSU coaches need to determine which QB has made the biggest jump, I’m not picking on any one QB because I don’t know. You seem to target only Nuss, that’s where I disagree.

No they need to pick the best one. It’s not a MIP award.
