I agree Bama looks heads and shoulders above everyone else on paper, but let’s see what happens on the field and how the injuries go.

Who is Young throwing the ball to this season? Burton transferred so assume he can take over one spot, and Gibbs can make plays out of the backfield. Their backups looked oddly lost in the NCG; something I didn't expect to see from Bama considering the raw talent at the position

While that would be impressive, that's not that bold of a statement. Some of the early lines for their games this season:
-14.5 @ UT
-15.5 @ ARK
-16.5 vs A&M
-13 @ Tenn
-15.5 @ LSU
-14 @ Ole Miss
It is the SEC West, so they're bound to have a close game at some point during the season.
