Going though the state next month. Been looking for points of interest. Other than maybe downtown Indianapolis I am not finding much in this state. Any suggestions?

Other than Indianapolis, a few wineries, James Dean Gallery, the James Dean Museum, Conner Prairie(if you have kids). Not much there.

Bloomington is pretty fun. A lot of Amish in southern Indiana

Downtown Indy has a few cool things - NCAA Hall of Champions, a big park in the middle of downtown that contains the zoo and a few other things. Just west of the city is Speedway, home to the race track. It has a pretty nice little museum and you can do a track tour.
In the very southwestern corner of the state is Vincennes. During the Revolution George Rodgers Clark led a group of Virginian patriots here and sacked the British fort, giving the newborn USA control of what was then the northwest territory.
There are several things to see/do there. The Clark Memorial is there, and it is a quaint little town on the bank of the Wabash. Walk across the bridge into Sumner County, Illinois and you're following in the footsteps of Abe Lincoln's family as they moved from Kentucky to Illinois. There's a nice little monument on the Illinois side marking where they entered the state. Also there is Grouseland, which was William Henry Harrison's residence while he was governor of the territory.

What is your path through the state and what are you looking for? How long are you stopping?
You've got a lot of different parts to Indiana - Indy, Metro Chicago, Metro Cinci, Metro Louisville, then the northern rural 2/3 is a lot of farm fields while the southern rural third is really pretty hill country.
If you can give us a little description of what you are doing there we can help a lot more.

Stop by Purdue for a game if they are home. Start the day drinking at Harry's chocolate shop and move on from there. There is a wolf and animal center by Purdue that is pretty cool. Lots of good hiking and food in West Lafayette.
