LIV Players file a Anti-Trust suit against the Tour

I have to say that I really like Davis Love III explain the Tours position and I agree wit him.
Reasoning -
Greg Norman goes on the Tucker Carlson show and says that the LIV field in a closed shop now meaning that they can't accommodate nor do they want any more players according to his statement. Can't have it both ways Greg.
The Players who left the Tour saying it was their right to do so knew full well what they were forfeiting and they were fine with it at the time.
They said they left the Tour under the pretense of not wanting to play so many tournaments a year. So why do they now want to add more events to their schedule ?
They left for the money and that was their right to do so and they all said that they were so much more happy at LIV, then why come back ?
IMO, allowing them back into the FedEx now would be a slap in the face to the current PGA Tour players that have been grinding to stay in the top 125 like Rickie Fowler and others.
LIV may have a right to exist and the players can choose to join them, that is the freedoms that we enjoy in this Country. But they signed agreements at the start of the PGA season and they broke the agreements with full knowledge of future repercussions of their decisions.
My 2 cents, The phrasing of Independent Contractors is totally wrong. A PGA Tour member gets to participate in Profit Sharing, Health Insurance savings and a Pension program through the Tour along with the other valuable perks that the Tour offers.
What other Independent Contractor in any other business gets these kind of benefits ?
LIV needs to fight another day, not at the end of a season when current PGA Tour players are fighting for positions to keep their cards.
Like I said before, the Lawyers will be the true winners and any injunctions this year will create even more hard feelings among players on both side.

It’s an interesting situation for sure.
At face value I agree with the facts that an independent contractor should be able to seek better opportunities without facing the type of restrictions and bans that have been placed on them. I also agree that the LIV tour is getting discriminated against to a point by the PGA and other big players in pro golf because they fear the competition.
At the same time these LIV guys should’ve read their PGA contracts better because from what I’ve seen the PGA has every right to do what they are doing based on the contracts.
I want LIV guess to be able to play PGA events and vice versa because that’s what would be best for the game but not sure if that will happen

Every single player who went to LIV did so knowing there was going to be consequences. They’ve said multiple times the perk of LIV is more money for less work and they get to be family guys, and here they are trying to get into the fedex cup.
I don’t have an issue with LIV, but if you go there you know what you’re signing up for.

If you can't beat guys that haven't played in a tournament in 3 months you don't deserve to be a Tour player.

I can’t really understand why both tours can’t co-exist, just like currently happens with the DP Tour. Allow them to play in their 5 outside events, can’t really pick and choose which ones.
I also can’t understand why other PGA players would care so much that guys are sitting out a couple tourneys to play in some LIV events. At the end of the day it removes some better players from the field making it easier for them to win and does t cost them anything. Why would DL3 suggest the guys sit out for a major? There’s no reason for that and they gain nothing doing it

I hope LIV players cash in even more now. frick Monahan and his dictatorship views. PGA Tour needs to learn a lesson for promoting such a chode bag.

LIV will win this lawsuit.
Not sure how its even debatable as far as the Anti-trust issues.
I'll bet money LIV wins.
