I'm tempted to do this, but my roof is not very workable for it. I have 30 feet of no-attic roof on the west side, no shade at all. That is the side that needs it most. Why don't shingles reflect that mess? Seems dumb not to. Dammit.

And notice the majority of shingled roofs are darker or black. We put the biggest heat absorbing things on the area that gets all the sun.
