Was thinking about places like Utah, Colorado, Texas, Tennessee, and Arkansas. I know this is broad but was just looking for any general ideas really. Want somewhere that the cost of living is affordable and there is things to do outdoors or sporting events to attend.

Texas:

Hill Country

Mabank/Gun Barrel City (Cedar Creek Reservoir)

Lake Whitney area

Granbury is a cute town but Lake Granbury isn’t as impressive as CCR or Whitney.

Aiken, SC (outside of Augusta)

St. George, UT

Flagstaff or Prescott, AZ

Front range of Colorado is the obvious choice for me if you want sports + outdoors. If you want more outdoors and less city life, you could probably do something in Leadville/Twin Lakes/Glenwood Springs? Depends on your definition of affordable as well.

SLC is good as well!
