Does anyone on here carry more than one concealed weapon on their body at the same time?

Took some time to drive over and see my mom and dad. They are in their late 70’s. Wish I had more time to go see them but we live several states apart.

My father had a Sig 365 on his 3 o’clock, a bigger Sig on his 12 o’clock, and a two shot Derringer in his front pocket. Didn’t ask about his legs but from the looks of it he might have something tucked down there to. So we get in his truck and he has a AR pistol tucked up nicely underneath the seat.

My dad is a Vietnam veteran and has always carried a concealed firearm on his body even back when a lot of people didn’t. His PTSD has always been a struggle. Not sure what went on over there, he doesn’t talk about it, and I don’t ask. Whatever went on must not have been good.

My question is this. Do any of you carry more than one concealed weapon on you at once? My dad appears to have a backup plus a 2 shot backup. I asked my dad did he think this was going a little overboard and his answer was I know what it’s like to run out of ammo in a firefight and you don’t know what you need until you need it. Me personally I just carry one Sig on me at all times.

If he's worried about running out of ammo why doesn't he just carry a spare mag or two? Does he not trust the guns he carries?

I carry a Hellcat at about 2:30 and a mag at 9, couldn't imagine it being comfortable to carry more than that. I do carry a knife as well but I'm up shite's creek if I get to a point that I have to consider that a weapon.

Kimber Ultra Carry II 45acp at 4 o'clock and Spyderco knife in front pocket. Glock 17 in console with extra mag. I alternate between a KSG 12 ga under the back seat and a Kriss Vector pistol in 9mm.
On any given day I may have up to 20-25 assorted firearms in my vehicle while traveling. I teach classes and work in my spare time at a range/gun store.

Only in the winter time, if I’m wearing gloves!!!
No I do not carry more than one but sometimes carry a second 15-17rd mag.

He carries spare magazines I believe for the P365. Pretty sure he has a holster that accommodates extra magazines. I’m not sure about that big hand cannon on his 12 o’clock. He’s 77 years old. Still gets around good but I just don’t know people that walk around with this much firepower on them. The detective that lives next door to me carries two guns but downtown Mobile is rough if you get off into the wrong neighborhood so I can understand why he has a service weapon on his 3 and a smaller weapon that he conceals that you can’t see. To answer your question he trust the weapons. I have a feeling watching all of those mobs up north and in the northwest made him nervous.

If you don’t mind me asking what part of Alabama do you live in?

He’s a good man. Old paper mill superintendent. Seems to have strong intentions of not getting robbed. Was rather surprised at how much rice he had. He’s buying dog food size bags of rice from an Asian supermarket. Got dried beans and other stuff piled up everywhere. I bet he has 30,000 rounds of bullets. He’s always been prepared but this is above and beyond his normal.

Same!

I don't usually have more than one firearm on my person unless I'm shooting......but I carry a G19 and a couple of pocket knives, with two additional pistols and an AR in the truck.

I keep a couple of extra 30's and a 40 rounder for it along with extra pistol mags.

I'd rather not keep it all on me at all times.

My dad was an old paper mill superintendent as well. I hate the be bring this up but late 70s is the time to start watching him more closely. If he is doing things outside of his normal (carrying extra weapons, buying too much food) you may want to keep an eye on that.

My dad was great until he was 80 and then he started having issues with memory. I'm not saying that is what is happening here but you seem to be suggesting he is doing things outside his normal actions.

I am from Orange Beach. Built my last house in Foley by OWA where I reside now. Styx River Range is where you can find me off of I-10 Wilcox exit. I am an Aries who likes long walks beyond 200 yds and I love the smell of fish frying or gunpowder. If there is anything else you want to know about me, feel free to ask. I am available for dinner iF your buying most nights. No Monkey Pox....lol

I choked on my water laughing when I sat down at my desk and read your response. I live in Daphne so I’m not far from you. Reason I ask is I need to find a good range and some recommendations on a good gunsmith. Appears I need to ask for the Aries that hates the University of Alabama and bring some snapper on ice. My daughter just moved to Foley but works in Spanish Fort. I want to buy her a new pistol to carry in her vehicle or purse. It makes me nervous that she has to make that drive home at night. I would prefer a professional to instruct her. Gun safety and shooting properly is very important, and this particular child, God bless her, is not the best at listening to me.

You got that right! He’s even strapped in church. Sadly that’s a thing now in this country.

Come see us and let us help you out. Ask for Buddy, Chuck or Jeff. Be glad to give you/her some pointers free of charge. Shoot any of my pistols to see what she may like and is comfortable with. Gunsmiths I would use are Bob Sachlis for any maintenance and minor rework/restoration. He is in on Saturday mornings. Howard Mahute for any major builds or tooling. He is usually a Sunday morning guy. come on out and have some fun. I will let you run some full auto on the training pit if there isnt a class going on.

Like John Wayne said, "I don't want to be killed for lack of shooting back".

Hard to imagine a scenario where I’d feel inadequate with just one pistol. Maybe if I went for midnight jogs through the ghetto. I never carry an extra magazine.
