Imagine handing a dude a contract worth potentially $230m and you have to treat him like a middle school kid

Jamarcus would have been the goat if this was in his contract

I think “independent study” and “undistracted” would both be met if he just slept the whole time.

Yeah that’s not a good look

The lengths Jim Mora Jr went to try to get Michael Vick to do homework...and it never worked.
After Vick got out of prison he did an interview with Mora and admitted that his car was full of DVDs he never took into his house and watched.

Putting this clause in was a blunder.
It makes him look like an immature lazy POS, and it makes the Cardinals look like idiots for giving him that big of a contract.
I understand the need to cya. But maybe just tell him it’s expected behind the scenes or something.

I wonder if this is more common and this just happens to be an instance in which it got out

It could be but I’ve certainly never seen someone report it.

colt mccoy trolled him in a press conference the other day and asked him if he was going to be at the QB meeting the next morning

Who does this on a contract?

All these contracts are available in the NFLPA database so if it were common, we would know it

What I really do not understand is what has this guy done to even get a contract like this???

You almost certainly aren’t gonna win a Super Bowl without a top 12ish QB. So teams are terrified of letting one walk

Exactly. They should have found another QB if they have to babysit him.

Four hours a week, are you kidding me? Joe B probably watches four hours a day.

Or the player basically holding a franchise hostage. Just like deshaun. The browns were stupid giving him that much money, no matter his off field issues.
