I’ve got a few family members who are doctors, and when they were going through med school I’d hang out with them and the others in their class. My perception was basically half of them were arrogant spoiled kids who never really worked or had an idea of what the world was remotely like. All they wanted to do is show everyone how much smarter/better they were.

The other half were absolutely awesome. Nice, fun, and caring people. There was no middle ground either they sucked all the time, or were great all the time.

Most of my class was pretty decent people. Maybe 1/10 are people I wouldn’t want to chill and have a beer with. A lot of people in Med school come from money so maybe that warps your perception a bit.
