Moffitt definitely didn’t change with the times
Moffitt was using this same GPS/data tracking system for 8+ years during summer workouts. Not his fault that Orgeron couldn't understand how to use/relate the data to practices & game preparation.

Do you know this as fact? Isn't it Moffit's job to utilize the data to properly and effectively get the athletes in prime condition for the upcoming season? Not wanting to turn this into a bashing thread, but if Moffit was truly at the behest of Orgeron, how was he not able to translate that in his interview with the new head coach? Something in his program did not fit the direction the new coach wanted to head in, and was honorably let go.

I’m not saying you’re wrong, but there has been clear evidence that LSU has been worn out late in games versus other teams. I know Moffitt was using the GPS gear because almost every year there was an article written about it. Whether or not O knew how to implement the data, I’d agree it probably was on him. However, there was still no hiding that LSU couldn’t hang late in games. Even in ‘19, we were gassed against Texas and Ole Miss. I’m not saying Flint is better yet, because we don’t have the games to compare it to yet. But it was clear to me that the off-season training was not translating to success late in games. There has to be some blame put on S&C, even if the head coach was mailing it in.
ETA: that’s probably why we wound up with Flint to begin with. Kelly knew he had a guy who could not only get his guys in shape, but someone that could present that information to him and show strengths and weaknesses. It’s a two-way street, not just one or the other.

I've always heard at some point Moffitt backed away from the day to day workout stuff and let his assistants take that over.
If true, it might point to reasons the team needed to move on from Moffitt.
We all know the strength and conditioning staff play a huge role in developing team culture. They spend the most time with the players and have a huge effect on the team. If Moffitt really was deferring to his staff members and not being with the team as much that might have been a big issue that needed change.
