Should be coming anytime now right?
I want to say it was a week or so before August last year.
Preparing myself psychologically for the letdown.

My note really set a tone of disappointment by them. They “regret” to inform me. I think they were close to giving me a ticket, but alas I was not selected to get a ticket.
Maybe they will reconsider my application. Regret may be a feeling that they don’t enjoy.
