The news acts like heat in July is something new. It's not.

Here is a sample of the current news when you google "heat wave":

But we have had hot Julys in the past. For example:

1901:

1930:

1934:

1936:

1954:

1980:

In fact the maximum temperatures for the month of July have been steadily decreasing since temperature have been recorded in the U.S.:

Anyway, I can't wait until October like every July.

It was 120 in Ozark,AR back in 1930.
That’s the highest temp ever in Arkansas.

Guess they had a bunch of cars and cows farting back then.

My city set 7 temperature records in June and is on pace to set 5 in July and the hottest average temperature for the month of June since they been keeping temps.

So this level of heat is something new to my city. But carryon 103 degree heat is the norm for southern cities 7-10 days in a row. Just go back and look at history. How many triple digit consecutive days have been in June for Dallas, Houston little rocks, Nola, atla, Omaha, Nashville, and Birmingham ham all at the same time. What's the record cause we bout to smash it.

Summer is hot. That's not good enough for most 'Scientists' looking to get that climate money though so a lot of these weather stations are built to record the highest temperatures possible. Like in direct sunlight over blacktop asphalt. Somewhere I have seen a compilation of fishy weather recording stations intentionally placed to get higher temperatures.

Sorry but 'Science' is compromised yet again.

The news isn’t the news anymore. Ever since social media came into play, news is nothing more than a tv show geared towards people’s emotions.

Ever notice in-between stories, when have the two cackling anchor women talking about how the last story makes them feel…

It’s basically the View without the audience with weather and sports…

Well, are you going to put up the picture that shows July 2022?

I thought the point of this thread was comparing past years to this one. How can we do that if you only show heat maps for past years?

Summer in the South has always been miserable.

If we had no infrastructure or civilization it would still be hot as hell.

IDK, but I remember having to read a book by John Steinbeck called Grapes of Wrath in 8th grade and he wrote a fictional tale based on real life events surrounding the Midwest Dust Bowl of the 1930's when people were forced to moved from the Midwest to California. He didn't mention climate change in his book though so schools have probably banned the book now.

I heard Houston had the hottest June on record and might have the highest July also. It has topped 100 nearly every day lately and they said the 10 day forecast reflects 100+ for every day (1st time ever).

yes of 90% of the scientists world wide.

One would think that the 10% might have an agenda.

What exactly do we have to say to make you give up all your rights and starve to death? This is serious!
