What kind of voting/vote-counting machines and software does Louisiana use for its elections?

Doesn’t matter when Republicans For Honor Code give us they’re self righteous votes.

You also have to factor in that a lot of the Dem percentage in Louisiana (especially in north Louisiana row crop territory) are Gen Xers and later end Baby Boomers that only registered that way because they were taught that their grandparents were democrats, their parents were democrats, and that they need to be democrats but by and large vote for conservative republicans. That being said the JBE’s of the world running as blue dog Dems and RINOs have a tendency to pull the wool over their eyes now and then but for the most part they’re solid republican, conservative votes.

My mom was part of that. Lifelong registered southern democrat but switched in 2018 after how they treated Kavanaugh. She hadn’t voted Democrat in a long time but didn’t want to be registered in that party anymore.

I’m sure a lot of this is like that. Older southern democrats who never changed registration dying plus some people changing registration.

To be anyone or anything unless a Treen geek or some delegate to the national convention, until Roemer's era and really 1994, you were a Southern Democrat. Louisiana has undergone little major change in a generation. More blacks signed up, more whites counter by voting Rep despite registration. If there is a state where Dem Rep registration means so little it is here.

To me right now the swing point or two may be Jefferson parish. Bossier cancels Caddo. Baton Rouge counters EBR. We are a solid red national state. JBE proves we are not invincible however. But our dynamics aren't changing much. I don't see another Dem senator for many a cycle. Breaux and Bennett Johnston are relics of a centrist past that no longer exist. Mary Landrieu and her clan are little better than capable of 45%. We are still vulnerable to RINO's though

Old school Democrats have been dying off for years in LA. Dems may be +7 in registration, but in voting, it is closer to +10 Rep.

I'm a little surprised some of the rural parishes like Avoyelles and Catahoula are blue. Farmers registered as democrats, I suppose.
