Windshield 100%. I have a half-fold poly and i love it despite how easily it gets scratches.
Winter weather? No windshield sucks arse. Trail in the woods? Limbs, sticks, stickers, spider-webs etc... huge mitigating effects on all kinda shite.
Not to mention, if you're going quick and don't have large sunglasses wind makes your eyes shut.
Windshield is a necessity imo

Idk if this one folds up, but I had one added to my Pioneer that’s on struts, and it’s possibly the best of the extras I added (make sure it’s glass, not plexiglass)

How do the windshields hold up to trailering? I've got a ranger that I trailer to and from the camp several times a year via interstate (75mph avg speed) and am worried it would rip the thing off. I'd like one that folds down, but not sure how it would hold up to the wind.

I’ve driven mine back and forth several times from Roseland to Grand Isle without a problem. It locks down pretty tight when it’s closed.

My windshield is made of Lexan and flexes but doesn’t break. I replaced it a couple years ago because the original was hazy and scratched up.

My windshield trailers fine, but all the air it forces up into the front lip of the flimsy plastic kawasaki stock roof kinda ripples it. My next upgrade is a metal roof I reckon.

Not sure if you have any metal work experience but you can make a roof out of diamond plate fairly easily. My son and I made one during “quarantine “ . One sheet of 1/8 plate and some flat bar was all that’s needed .

Obviously I’m an idiot for even debating the windshield. Never owned a sxs before
I’m just debating style now. A split poly that pops up or a standard glass windshield

Not an idiot for debating it. Really just depends on your needs.
Poly will eventually become scratched up and hazy.

I’ve never taken mine off other than to replace it. The 4x4 sheets of 1/8” lexan at lowes will suffice. Don’t use plexiglass, it’s not strong enough and will break. I bought stainless steel pipe clamps with a rubber coating for attaching to the roll bar. I made a template out of cardboard and cut off of that. I wasn’t paying $400 for a kubota lexan windshield. I’m sure they are more than that now.

Yeah, I don’t know what mine is, I just know it is a little flexible. It was a gift and I couldn’t do without it.

Get it, I love mine..,

I’ll have to check. Whatever our dealer had at midland. It’s awesome. Easy to clean

Get one that you can take off and reinstall easily if you have to trailer it long distances. I have one on my Gator and my mule and it makes the ride so much better in shite weather.
