Ah yes the US economic system is so fragile it can’t handle something every other first world nation does.

Not I.

You'll love highly rationed medicine, but it will be cheaper! Thats all the very average American cares about.

I guess I am weird. I prefer to pay more, and have better health care.

Hopefully they come up with a public option for you people, so I can have my service and you folks can fight over appointment times.

Ah yes I do love not being able to afford medical care or risk going into massive amounts of debt

You should probably do something about it.

You just sit and wait for the gubment to rescue you. The rest of us will do what we have to do.

Do you think the government taking over healthcare will cause the price of healthcare to go up or down?

If they made laws to cut hospitals from making unnecessary costs and restricted some of the medical lawsuits it could work. But I have zero faith in them doing it right. When Obama said he was going to fix it he just made it more expensive and helped monopolize the major insurance industries.

Same.

I figure we will have a lot of cronyism when the gubment takes over. Non profits with ties to politicians will get monopolies. It will not be cheaper, just the "correct" people will benefit.

Well we know when the government is able to negotiate drug prices the prices go down and we also know that healthcare is cheaper in countries that have UHC but that’s just socialist propaganda right

You didn't answer the question.

Do you think American healthcare costs will go up or down if/when the government takes over?

You literally have no example of this other than right wing fear mongering. It’s pretty telling when you refuse to accept the fact that all other nations have made UHC work

Nope, only if you're dumb.

Most poor people over the past 70 years have improved their lot in life in this system, but you can't.

Weird.

It seems like I did but you just want to fish for the answer you want. Currently there’s no reason to believe it would go up

There are millions of people without insurance and even more in medical debt kind of weird how you just want to ignore that or lash out against people who bring up facts.
