Are 15-2 the last 17 slams. Crazy and can you say dominant. That's not even including Federer. I think Roger should call it a career and move on.

Where Nadal gives me a major pause as the all-time best are his 14 French titles making up his total. Far too many on a playing surface that is one step above velcro. I think he's an all-time "specialist" but not when the game gets fast.

There are 3 surfaces, any particular reason why you are discounting clay?
He has 6 hardcourt titles and another 5 trips to the finals

It's the closest surface I know to actually having to ice skate with a tennis racket.
Clay is obviously the slowest surface of the three, meaning it slows down the speed of the tennis ball and generates a higher bounce. It's most effective for baseline players and those who use a lot of spin on the ball. Nadal is such a "specialist." That's what I mean.

He has more grand slam victories on non-clay that Federer and Djokavic have on clay. Perhaps they are hard court/grass specialists
Maybe a better measure of who the specialist is would be to compare how far Federer and Djokavic advanced on average in the French Open versus how far Nadal advanced on average on the other surfaces.

The counterargument to this that people throw out is that Nadal has won the US Open once more than Djokovic, and only once less than Federer... and that's the fastest surface there is for a hardcourt slam.

I don't think so. I don't think Nadal is going to win the US Open or Australian Open even if Djokovic doesn't compete there. Even if you throw him one more French Open in 2023, he'll be 37 years old when that tournament finishes.
I think Novak can win three more slams even if he can't play the next two. Based on what we just saw at Wimbledon, you can pretty much pencil him in to win there again in 2023.
