I’ve never understood this thinking.

Now of course this is a crime and an adult should know better.

HOWEVER. How does someone doing this to a child - from statutory rape to even felonious child moleststation - you KNOW the victim is going to tell at least one person. And then it’s game over.

They tell their friend. Their friend tells another. Then an adult hears it. Gets concerned.

It will ALWAYS come out. A child can’t comprehend what’s happening. They’re going to tell someone. I don’t understand. You’re placing your entire life in the hopes that a child or teenager can keep a secret.

It’s BAFFLING they think nobody will ever know.
