A lot of green shite we do is bad for the environment. But the “party of science” will ignore this particular science
Converting thousands of acres of farmland into solar panels is bad for the environment
Wind turbines kill a shite load of birds.
Not only are the above worse for the environment they are horribly inefficient and more expensive. We talk about food prices and grain shortages yet the simplest quickest fix to alleviate this is to stop dumping corn into ethanol production. Use it for cattle-chicken feed. Cost of feed goes down, meat prices can go down.
Our most environmentally friendly electricity solution that is highly efficient and cheap is Nuclear and natural gas.

Today I learned....

Though it can appear as though they’re turning at a slow, almost relaxed pace, wind-turbine blades actually move very rapidly: The outer tips of some turbines' blades can reach speeds of 179 mph (288 kilometers per hour) and can easily slice off an eagle's wing.

IMO 100% of the electrical grid should be powered by nuclear and should be put into place to be a viable option within 20 years.
ethenol should be gone tomorrow. we have a water crisis and the dry line is continuing to move east yet we want to use a fuel that is ineffecient and takes 75gallons of water to produce 1 gallon of ethonal. its the cause of the growing dead zone in the gulf through the increased production of corn, its terrible for engine life, less fuel effecient etc
needs to end today and frick the farmers that love to suck off government tit.
who the frick thought it was a good idea to use a food source for fuel anyways.

Not necessarily bad for the environment, but this also falls in line with how the more green shite we do, the cleaner the air is becoming; causing hurricanes to become more intense and are taking longer to weaken. NOAA had a study released late 2021, or early 2022 that talked about the efforts in the US to reduce pollution has caused hurricanes from the Atlantic to drastically increase since the mid-90s. Conversely, because India & China are increasing their pollutants, activity in the Pacific has weakened.
