I’m sorry but I can’t stand Alton Brown, but I do enjoy Iron Chef.
thats cool. Good eats will forever be my favorite cooking show but he certainly can be quirky.

He literally served them trash. He plated the dish INSIDE a Fritos bag. He had a train on a track and put a lime on it.
He was going with the theme of the competition which was all about street food. He colored within the lines better than the competition.

He just looked out of place compared to the iron chef and even the other competitors and it reflected in his score. Honestly he probably got a 78 bc no way are they going to score anything a 50. They have to keep these things close and somewhat reasonable or who would go on it.
I will say he got a bad draw having to go against Stone. An Australian in a lamb ingredient was going to be bad news for him.
I think he would have come closer to taking down Samuelson.

yeah it was easy to see he was in over his head and stone was just outclassing him in every way. i think he did ok though. i just dont think his schtick is to the caliber of the others.

He just felt so out of place once you saw all the episodes. Every single other competitor brought much more to the stadium.
I’d argue there are much better reps from New Orleans or south la that would have worked better.

Curtis Duffy is the man. Grace is still perhaps my top dining experience.
