So Biden is incompetent and big oil are crooks. What else is new?

yes. your reading comprehension is outstanding

In any scenario big oil are crooks. A couple of years ago when oil was very cheap they cried to the govt to be bailed out ,even before covid, but now do they give the consumer a break? Of course not. Screw big oil and politicians alike.

so, no examples on how big oil is purposely not increasing their efforts to drill or refine more with the specific drive up the price of gasoline?
thanks for the paragraph of silly conjecture.

Please link to them crying to the government?
If you think Big Oil are crooks, what are your thoughts on Apple, J&J, Pfizer, Google etc?

Clearly you know jack squat about this energy industry bc you are laughing at simple facts and also blowing off article after article of how Biden has blocked the industry from domestic production
And you seem to know even less than I if you don't know it's not actually a production problem but rather a refining problem. Production fell under Trump, and has risen under Biden:
The leases Biden cancelled wouldn't have even made any impact on the current market. But because the guy's a senile, retarded, liar, people just find it easier to pile on him rather than look for actual causes and effects. It has nothing at all to do with where other presidents said we couldn't drill, just where the POTATUS says we can't drill.
So many people like to compare the price of gas under Trump in April of 2020, around $1,70, to the current price, forgetting that in April of 2020 WTI was at NEGATIVE $37/bbl - like that's a good thing?
Like you say, I don't know shite about the O&G industry, but when futures went negative in 2020, I at least knew that spelled trouble.

Leases cancelled dont affect the current supply/demand/inventory balance. yes that much is true. But that is only part of the story that determines the current oil price. A good portion of the price is based on futures markets and speculation of the future supply/demand/inventory balance and his admins resistance to empowering domestic producers absolutely 100% affects that and thereby affects current pricing.
Being that i actually work in the industry Im pretty sure I know more than you. Production fell under Trump during COVID, and has risen under Biden as we have come out of COVID. Dont be obstuse or ignorant. I know you know this. Production could have risen much faster under Biden if his admin would get out of the way but more importantly the projections of the future S/D would be much more balanced and prices would be lower.

Please tell me where this was Big Oil whining to the government?

Judging from Biden's polling, the American public is seeing right through their BS.
There's a couple dummies on here that stepped up to the plate and are trying to defend this Administration's BS.
We are talking about the dumbest of the dumb or paid DNC shills.

Yet you provide zero evidence and reply with progressive talking points while completely ignoring that Big Tech makes O&G profits look like chump change.

Yes, a LOT of things go into current pricing. I just object to the OP's insinuation that it's ALL due to the Retard-in-Chief, when in fact the country's energy policy - or rather a lack on a coherent energy policy - for some 30 years now is the real culprit.
The main thing that has really affected production occurred in December 2015 with the lifting of the oil export ban.
But seriously, if you going to bitch and moan about GOM leases, bitch and moan about all of them, not just select ones.

This idea that they don’t have oil to drill and to bring up is simply not true.”
Wtf is Brandon talking about? Pretty sure the Chevron guy said they had record production last year and even more this year.
So where exactly is our banana brained president coming up with this BS?

So under trump, we weren’t paying significantly less?
Is there any significance to our current president having stated repeatedly that he will end the oil and gas industry?

Its amazing the bullshite everyone is regurgitating from the msm. Yes, every single big oil company is conspiring to screw over the consumer right now. Everyone is in cahoots.
fricking idiots

You mean when West Texas Intermediate was $-37/bbl?
Yes, I would say that paying people to hold oil for you because you can't sell it on the market is about as low a price as you can get for oil.
Do you think that was a good thing?
Personally, I think shutting down the entire economy is a shitty way to lower gas prices.

7. Advance Lower Carbon Energy Tax Provisions
8. Protect Competition in the Use of Refining Technologies
9. End Permitting Obstruction on Natural Gas Projects
10. Advance the Energy Workforce of the Future
If Biden read that, he'd shite in his pants and go right to sleep.

An energy coalition needs to start running a campaign showing those clips where Biden and other Dems discuss shutting down oil, while also showing the policies.
Well they certainly can afford it now...Don't pee on me and tell me it's raining..
The simple economic truth is "we" don't own the oil once it is pumped... Literally... it is not OUR oil...And why would they sell gas here at 2 bucks a gallon, when they can get 10 a gallon elsewhere...the idea that AMERICAN oil companies are looking out for you is stupid.
