Is this there 2nd child and did I recall correctly that she is also a survivor of breast cancer as well? Great things happen to great people and congratulations to her and her husband, her family on this news.

Yes she had a kid right before taking over for SHS. Her kid was a few months old IIRC.

She was positive for the particular gene that indicates a woman will likely develop breast cancer, the odds are around 85-90%. She like a lot of women, elected to have a double mastectomy as a preventative measure.
