Bring on the 2022 Midterms!! Timing is everything. Such a small price to pay for the restoration of sanity.

And while we're at it, I'm ok with $6 gasoline - until November, that is....

I knew he could. He’ll probably aim for below 20,000 now.

Rookie numbers.

It will be below 25,000 before it’s all over with.

Y’all keep buying. I’m sure it will work out in the long term.

I don't know where this misplaced faith is coming from, Pawl - it will take Trump or Desantis a year or two, even assuming a Congress that will work with either of them, to even make a dent in all of this. That's not November. That's 3 or 4 years from now.

ESG has to go. Green New Deal Lite has to go. None of that is on the horizon, even with a "Red Wave" (which is likely to be blunted).

I could see 24,000 in the downturn. However, today is an excellent day to buy stocks for a short term pop.

Reversing all the stupid executive orders and regulations put on Oil and energy by this administration will fix a lot of this but it won't happen until Jan of 2024 at the earliest if at all.

It's troubling that the S&P is doing even worse today - down over 3 3/4 % as of 1550 Eastern.

(ETA: Seems somewhat likely today will be a Top 10 raw points drop on the S&P, or maybe just outside. We're unlikely to sniff that on the DJIA).

I'm one of the more financially literate people in my family (and thats not remotely any kind of brag, don't listen to me about anything) and I always tell family members that they shouldn't leave any kind of match on the table.

Its so bad right now that I'm wondering if it might be worth it to just get some extra cash for a few months because the match might end up getting erased anyway.

I think you mean January 2025. Man, that’s a long time from now.

I was worried we would finish positive for the day, but we were able to go negative at the close. Thank God! I would hate to make any money!

At the Rate the markets are tanking right now one can only imagine when the High interest rates really start hitting earnings and the consumer in a year or so.

I wouldn’t do it , you would be missing a great sale in terms of the number of shares each of your match dollars could be buying. Sure they will probably lose value currently, but it will pay big off years from now. But as you said you already know this.
