ND board

"Both myself and Sinclair are hearing great things here. We both had the Irish landing him heading into the visit and we both feel even better about our picks coming off the trip."

If he is as close to Steeples as is being reported, you can't count us out.

Why do you people keep saying this? Recruiting is not like what it was in the past. It's money. Relationships are secondary. Outbid and he's yours. It's that simple.

Not counting LSU out but reports of his Notre Dame weekend visit are very strong to a July 4th commitment

I don't think that is totally true.

Kids love the aura of notre dame.

Freeman is a great recruiter.

I still think lsu has a shot with gray but it looks like notre dame went all out for his visit.

This is true, but we are also willing to play the NIL. Not as blatant as A&M or the rest, but we have set up different fuND groups.

I agree.

Every school is going to have to pay nil if they want top recruits.

My Lord? these kids are flocking to Marcus Freeman like stink on shite.

Oh well, good luck to them. Taking a big chance on the most unproven head coach in the sport. After their week one beat down from Ohio State, Marcus Freeman will be 0-2 as a head coach.

We likely will be 0-2 to start Freeman's career. The last HC that got off to a poor start turned out to be pretty good. BK was 1-3 to start the 2010 season. Our hope is that after the OSU game we can finish 10-2. Other than perhaps Clemson, we might be favored in every game.

Ironically, the last 2 HC's at ND that got off to good starts didn't pan out. Willingham started the 2002 season at 8-0 and Weis took us to the Fiesta Bowl in 2005.

Notre Dame has stupid money as does USC. They will both be big players for recruits.

When will LSU fans start admitting he may be an elite recruiter who will fair well as a coach in today’s CFB landscape. Everyone thought ND would just still suck at recruiting when BK left but, that hasn’t been the case at all

the only people that thought he would suck at recruiting didn't pay attention. He's kind of reminding me of the defensive version of Lincoln Riley. He still has to prove it on the field, but he's definitely elevated their recruiting the past 2 years.

Wasn’t O an elite recruiter? Doesn’t always translate to wins and losses. Freeman May be the next Kirby smart or the next O. Has to show it in the field.
