Was a great show, even with Claire Danes’ character being the cringiest bitch of all time.

Homeland was one of the oddest show arcs ive ever seen. It was tremendous, then ok, then blah, then tremendous again and ended strong.
It had about 100 characters over 10 years and it was great.

I remember the hype after Season 1 was nuts, it’s was bigger than Breaking Bad & Game of Thrones. But then from the second season onwards it dropped off the face of the earth and became pretty irrelevant to the cultural zeitgeist
Season 1 is the single most entertaining/bingeable season of any show I’ve ever watched.
Season 2 started strong and fell off a cliff maybe halfway through and the series never fully recovered.

Loved Saul's character.
He was my favorite character in the show. Great actor, I think it took me halfway through the first season to realize he was Inigo Montoya

S1 was phenomenal. I wouldn't have said better than BB or GoT, but also it's a different show. Either way, S1 of this and True Detective S1 rank up their with the best of them. Crazy how much they fell off a cliff. Homeland still had some great eps after S1, but overall it was a bit of a mess.
Also, Morena Baccarin in S1 shows off

When Claire fricked the kid, I was out.
Her character became insufferable. Non stop mental illness and crying.

I mean, back in 2011 Homeland was the show everyone was talking about and hyping up as the next big thing. Game of Thrones was still in Season 1 and still niche. Breaking Bad was getting great reviews, but it didn’t blow up into mainstream popularity until Netflix picked it up, which was about a year or so later. So yes in 2011 I would say homeland was the most discussed show on TV.

Would love a Quinn origins series about him in the military and doing CIA missions after that. We could see he and the German agent Astrid, during the Cold War.
That would be his time being recruited by and working for Dar Adal.....
Dirty old man.

He survived that. Carie saved him, and he was pissed about it. He died the next season driving the President and Carie out of the assassination attempt in NYC.

All true, except The Walking Dead maybe had taken off at this point. Nothing was bigger than TWD is those years.
