Thank you for posting. The kids are hurting more than fans. This has to be brutal on them.

That was tough to watch - especially Gavin. I hope he does come back next year. Although tough to watch, it gives me some confidence for next year. A couple of JJ's comments almost make me wonder if we will have a new pitching coach next year.

When Gavin launched it I thought we’d walk it off.
That top 9 was horseshite.

What did he say about the pitching coach?
Posted on 6/6/22 at 11:14 pm to TigerMac81
He just made a comment that they need to get to work because Southern Miss had infinitely better pitching than we did

Who in the world is downvoting this? Y’all are silly as hell.

I saved this for when we drum that arse next year.

It reminded me of duplantis crying after the 2019 supers.
Jay is gonna get it right, i liked his mindset in that press conference. Just not prepared to talk about a loss

Jay is pissed. At least it seemed that way to Me. Other than rez, nobody threw strikes. I think in his mind right now no pitcher in this team is safe.

I really enjoyed hearing his answers. Thank you for posting this! Sounds to me like he’s gonna get it right.

I like some of the other guys too, I just think Jay threw multiple pitchers out there in a row who couldn’t throw strikes. And that pissed him off.

Not sure why you immediately jumped to that conclusion. He was basically saying that we didn't have the pitching and competed above their heads to overcome the deficiencies all season long.
I think Kelly and JJ did a great job with what they had. They have a bunch of big arms coming in and will get it done. JJ is great coach and it will become obvious to those who can't see it yet.

I liked when he specifically declined to answer questions basically trying to get him to call out individual players who played poorly.
What I also liked is you can tell how much he cares, how much losing bothers him, and how hard he wants to work to win. Not a lot of coach speak and it came across very genuine.
