Give props to coach Johnson for making all the right moves in both these comeback games. He's proving the moment isn't too big for him I think he deserves some credit for a job well done.

He knows how to manage the game, that much is obvious.

Let him get some of his players in and he’s going to roll

He's been solid this year but Kelly is MVP of this staff. What he's cobbled together pitching wise is great. Always seems to make the right calls and he's actually developed some of these guys into solid arms.

I think Jay is a good game manager and obviously knows how to coach hitters. Jason Kelly has done a good enough job developing pitchers. If they could find someone who knows how to coach a develop players defensively I’d feel really good about it.

I can’t, for the life of me, figure out why some on this board think this is a thing. It’s not like he hasn’t done it prior to coming to LSU…

I had my doubts about this hire but I believe he’s capable of great things at LSU.

He literally went to Omaha the year before we hired him, and Arizona has been a really good program historically. Yet people act like he's coming from Western Carolina or something

I’d say with the transfer portal, LSU’s pedigree and the fact that Jay Johnson is a damn good coach, by next year he has a stable of stud pitchers.

Because the majority of our fanbase think the program is still what it was when skip hung it up.

Just 7 years ago he was at nevada, won the conference and was named coach of the year.

The next year was at az and was cws runner-up.
Made a regional the next year.

Had a couple down years and the covid year.

Back to omaha in 2021.
