As to why someone would do such a horrible thing, really?....
My question as to the “why” refers to why would the local police chief (the one who put a pause on the assault of the gunman) be in on the conspiracy? Does he strike you as someone who would be on the take with this White House?
Edit: It looks like Uvalde County went Trump in both 2016 and 2020, in case anyone is wondering the political dynamics in the county.

Just some creative thinking here after years of reading CIA and spy novels.
People with something to hide can often be controlled by someone that finds their secret and threatens to expose them.
That is just one possibility.

Why would you assume that if there was a conspiracy, it would have to be tied to the White House or a political party?
