I don’t think the founding fathers could have made it any clearer.. yet at some point in time the government found a way to circumvent the frick out of this

Why should even one of my tax dollars go overseas to fund a proxy war that I don’t support? Or pay for Biden’s regime to establish a ministry of truth to fight free speech on the internet? Or any other expensive and wasteful government project.. while our roads crumble and my state circles the drain

Not to mention they are already printing unlimited money and making day-to-day life damn near unaffordable

The federal government is far too corrupt and bloated, and most state governments aren’t much better. It all needs to be downsized

You have representation. If your representatives don't vote in a way that you would like vote them out in the next election.

Well that is spending but do you not have a Rep on the house or senate?

Lol

You might get to vote for a candidate but that candidate is selected for you. Don’t pretend like money doesn’t buy candidacy. The average American is not represented. The average American has no say so in regards to taxes or really anything.

Elective despotism. King DC will do anything to remain in power.

First, that was a political slogan, it's not explicitly in the Constitution.

Second, "representation" doesn't mean you agree with every specific law - only that you get to have a representation at whatever level you are being taxed at.

Third, if you are going on the founding fathers viewpoint, I hope you aren't: black, asian, native American, middle eastern, some other non-white person, a woman, an indentured servant, or a person who doesn't own real property, because if you are, you would have no right to vote and therefore no right to choose your representative.

I contacted the congressman that represents the mega donors for the district I live in. He said those Ukrainian Aid packages were too good for his mega donors to pass up and after they get paid they would get him re elected, so it was good for everybody.

Any ideas where my representation is? You got a phone number?

You have a rep in the House of Commons and two in the House of Lords.

As an aside, have you ever wondered why the other colonies had representation and the North American colonies didn’t? Because they were too cheap to buy seats in parliament. The English Caribbean colonies had, at any given point, control of enough seats to control legislation that affected them. Ditto for African, Asian, and Indian colonies. The 13 colonies did have some representation but not enough to matter.

It wasn't a campaign slogan, it was a call to fricking arms.

How about "no representation without taxation"?.

Mooches shouldn't be allowed to vote.

To think personal income tax was not even born until 1913. Of course, it was the very same year the Federal Reserve was adopted. Why, we must ask?

Oh because your rep didn’t do what you wanted you’re not represented.

Here’s a fun fact, the founding fathers never even wanted you to vote for your congressmen.

Don’t like sending money to the Ukraine? That’s fine.

Don’t try and dress it up as something it’s
Not though.

It might be worse than that

Our funding if that war could be seen as an escalation and cause some blow back

There is no reason to believe that Russia isn't doing everything in their power to hurt American interests
