Sony might've screwed themselves with their new PS+ Tiers...

The new services released a few days ago in Asia. Apparently, they're asking you to pay for the amount of months left on your current subscription in addition to the amount to upgrade to the tier you want.
So, if a year's worth of PS+ is currently $60 and you have 4 months left, $60 / 12 months = $5 (x4 months = $20 total), you have to pay that $20 total on top of the upgraded subscription. if you've stacked years upon years of PS+ subscriptions, you'll have to pay the same prorated charge.
the only real way to "save money" when upgrading is to wait until your current subscription ends and then upgrade.

“Since you purchased PlayStation Plus at a discounted price at the time of membership, there are two PlayStation Plus memberships that cannot enjoy other discounts:
“1) PlayStation Plus membership bought with a discount.
“2) PlayStation Plus membership redeemed with redemption code.
“Therefore, if you need to upgrade to Level 2 or 3 Premium membership, you will need to make up the difference between the previous discounted price and the normal price.
“For example, a PlayStation Plus membership is HK$308 for one year and the discounted price is HK$187.6. The difference is $120.4, divided by the number of months remaining.
“Please rest assured that the system will automatically calculate the difference that needs to be repaid if you need to upgrade. Of course, you can also upgrade or downgrade your membership according to your preference.
“If you do not upgrade, your current PlayStation Plus membership will not be affected. Please be assured that game offers, free monthly game subscriptions and access to 100G of online storage will remain unchanged.”

Come on bro

Due to a technical error, players in Asia who have previously purchased a PlayStation Plus membership at a discount have been incorrectly charged for their upgrade pricing. This error has been fixed and impacted players will receive a credit. We thank you for your patience.

Is this the thread where I can complain about how the classic games are literally a combination of games were included on the PlayStation Classic and PS2 games already on sale on PSN?

I would expect to see new PSX/PS2/PSP titles available at launch and not just an amalgamation of what was already available sans the emulated PSX games that appear ripped right out of the Playstation Classic (What is Sony's hard on for the original Syphon Filter and Wild Arms?).
I honestly don't expect a whole lot from the Classics Collection as the games that most people are going to want to play are either tied up in licensing or being held back for the publisher's own remaster/remake.
What would be nice though is to at least have the PS2/PSX catalogue that is currently available on PS3. I kind of assume they'll be going to that well rather frequently when the service is updated, much like Nintendo did with the Wii to Wii U Virtual Consoles.
