He is actually more accurate than Flynn.

His completion% thus far is over 59% while Flynn's was at 56%.

Most of Lee's snaps have come against SEC competition. If you were to compare completion% in the SEC, I would bet that Lee would be even more accurate.

don't use logic here, they don't like that

your right. i do, however, think that he has more potential to be a better scrambler than young in the future. and that is really a big compliment.

If you go on tigerbait.com you can see more highlights of him. This guy is absolutely amazing. If LSU uses him properly then he could become a possible heisman candidate. He is the perfect Spread Quarterback, and that's what Crowton has trying to implement ever since he's been at LSU.

not sure if this was posted on this thread yet.

ESPN ON SHEPARD

I'm not going to argue on who's transferring, changing positions, whatever. Bottom line is, this kid will be something special at LSU. He is saying all the right things, recruiting 5*'s to LSU, took summer school so he can enroll at LSU in the spring '09. He says he wants to play his freshman year, doesn't care what position, just wants to play.

..better than our last top QB recruit saying he was going to win 4 heismans

Sheppard is trying to get a lot of guys to come to LSU one being his cousin who decommited from
Clemson when Terry Bowden resigned at Clemson.

It amazes me that a hih school kid lights up another high school team full of 16-18 year olds and suddenly people think he's going to come in and beat out a guy that's been in the system for 2 years and will get the majority or the starts his second year, including games against Florida, Georgia, Alabama, and playing in Auburn.

Beating up on Cy-whatever defenses does not mean he is going to make Florida's or Bama's or Auburn's defenses lose any sleep.

Jefferson? I think he is moved to WR and could be dangerous there.

The kid is not that fast. He could not play WR in the SEC. He's a pure QB.

He's certainly go the measurements to be one.

He has only the height. He doesn't have the speed nor agility. The kid is a pure QB and a good one. I personally think Lee is a tad better, but if Lee goes down we have an every down QB we can turn to.

JEfferson would transfer before he moved positions.

He's a QB.

+1
Exactly. That is why RS might actually step in and start as a Freshman. JL - no scramble/good passer. AH - moderate scramble/moderate passer, RS - try and catch him /great arm

YOu forgot Jordan Jefferson in your review....and also, i think you are underrating the "good passer" skill, it's very much needed in the SEC

Why take the ball out of JLee's hands? THE GUY IS GOING TO BE REAL GOOD.

If you want him on the field so bad, put him in the slot and do some crazy shite with him.

RS needs to mature and improve as a passer. Yes, he can run, I understand that. But right now, we have a quarterback that is going to be real good. So what if he isn't quite as mobile.

"Yeah, but Russell Shepard is a game-changer."

That may be the case, but he hasn't stepped on an SEC field and been tested yet. Before you know it, Jarrett Lee is going to be just as big of a game changer. And it will be with his arm.

Don't be so quick to take the ball from Lee.

I stand corrected. Here is my new version:

That is why RS might actually step in and start as a Freshman. JL - no scramble/good passer. AH - moderate scramble/moderate passer, RS - try and catch him /great arm. JJ is gonna make a great WR.

You're crazy if you think Jefferson will play wide receiver.

You're crazier if you think he'll be any good as a receiver.
