Between Cabelas and Bass Pro in greater Baton Rouge, who has the best selection of hiking gear/backpacks etc?? Trying to only have to drive out to one.

Bass Pro owns Cabela’s now. They’re all the same. I think that purchase happened 2-3 years ago.

Being able to have someone size you for a pack or shoes in person is pretty important. For other stuff where sizing isn’t critical, you can order online from Zpacks, REI, Waymark, Gossamer Gear, Outdoor Research, or even Amazon gives you plenty of options. Watch for Memorial Day sales.
