He is not an idiot. Have you even bothered to watch any of his lengthy interviews from the Saints years? Have you listened to the commentary from everyone who has worked with him the past few years?
Sure he made some bad decisions in his youth. Sure sometimes he does some goofy things mostly OFF the field, but he doesn't do anything damaging, at least sense college. He was never an idiot and he has matured greatly. Saints could be in a much worse position at QB over the next couple of years.

If anything, he seems more genuine.
Im not one of the Drew haters but every time he spoke it sounded like a script. Russ has the same deal.

I've met him and I would describe as genuine and a really nice guy. Doesn't seem dumb either.

You can remind people all day long that he was a honors student and was excepted by Stanford but they stumble on forward.
It's part of why some see it more as a race issue cause they can't believe some are that ignorant.
