Just picked up a 4 iron. For whatever reason I can’t hit a hybrid. I hit my 5 iron fairly well so I’m hoping just getting a 4 iron will give me a little more distance on tight tee shots.
Any practice tips?

Tee it up when you practice.
3/4 swing.
Choke down.
Swing with feet together.

Can’t figure out attack angle. Hit like a 5 wood? It’s just weird.
I can flush my five iron around 185. I can sorta half arse hit hybrid a little further but it hooks or I may top it.

I had the same problem.
I'm waaaaay more comfortable with my irons.
I got a new set of Rogues that came with 3 & 4 Hybrid, so I forced myself to start practicing with them a lot more.
I'm not where I want to be but I'm way more confident with my hyrids now.
I'm going to say the cliche thing here to "practice more" but make sure you're practicing correctly.

I played a 4 hybrid for years. All of a sudden, I can’t hit the damn thing. I went with a 4UDI. I LOVE IT!!!!

I'm right there with you. I've never been able to consistently hit a hybrid. I got rid of the 4 hybrid and went with a 7 wood. Highly recommend.

How are you with fairway woods? For me, I can hit them off a tee or the deck much better than a hybrid or long iron.

He hits his 5 iron well and this is your tip to do the same with a 4 iron?
