Except US intelligence was spot on regarding Russia’s intention to launch a whole scale invasion into the Ukraine and seems to know where most high level Russian officers sleep when visiting Ukraine.

Fair enough but not exactly what I was getting at, which is that as far as I’ve heard nobody is actually certain of Putin’s ‘goal’ or ‘endgame’. Lots of speculation from the pundits and such, but only that. Just seems like an awful lot to be desired by our supposedly renowned intelligence community.

The US had already set up shop before Putin even made a move. They were waiting for him
