I think it’s clear LSU will be a two seed; Austin and Tempe are a couple of possibilities. I’m hoping to avenge the sweep against UT.

LSU softball has lost its mojo. It would be nice for them to win a National Championship soon... but.

They should be in a position to make it back to OKC in 2023. All they need is for Chaffin to make progress from year 1 to year 2, which should happen, and for one of the top-rated freshmen pitchers to be ready to pitch at a high level.

An upgrade there would be lagniappe. You have enough pieces now, outside of pitching.

It’s not a foregone conclusion we don’t host, but of course it is highly unlikely.

this seems to be the weakest LSU team in the last decade. Past teams have gotten hot as the season progressed. This team has just been so up and down, more down lately. I wouldnt be surprised if they dont come out of whatever regionals they end up in.

I seriously want to believe this but we said the same thing last season after FSU series and now will end up not likely hosting for the first time in 8 years.

I hope it happens but they got to make significant improvements. They just aren't consistent enough. Chaffin or one of the freshmen will have to step up next year for LSU to have a shot, it can't be strictly Kilponen. If not its going to be a long year.

They honestly need to use the portal to address some of their weak spots. Time to get with the times and use it.

I care less about the portal and more about Beth Torina doing what’s owed to lsu and shite canning her friends for better coaches that match what the university has done for her

She has definitely been overly loyal to a stale staff.

Wondering which current LSU players will be heading out to the portal next year, I have definitely heard some big rumors with big names

I heard a couple names a couple weeks ago but am praying its just rumors. There were a couple who were thinking about it last season but decided to stay.

If that happens with nothing in return it will definitely reveal the state of the program. Scott Woodward will start looking more closely.

If they start losing starters to the portal then Woodward needs to step in and force her hand in making changes.

The latest bracketology has us going to Seattle. That’s a long way away, but at least it’d be a lower seeded host.

Poor overall pitching, hitting, and fielding will see this team eliminated pretty early, wherever they end up!

The stats don’t support your claim that they are poor at any one area, much less all three.

There’s a lack of depth at pitching, but this team isn’t poor at anything.

Isn’t it ridiculous it is always next year. Times up. It is time for Torina to make some changes:

Not to mention that the stats of players are going to be worse because of the extremely strong schedule LSU has been playing. Some fans just have no idea about anything and like to bit..

A trip to Washington for regionals could very well end the season for LSU this year, we shall see

I’m still holding out hope that LSU will get Clemson, Northwestern or even Duke, all would be much easier teams for LSU to advance to Supers with. With ASU just winning two of the last three over Washington, it’s looking like LSU won’t have to go to ASU…which is great news.
