I’m driving about 4 hours to watch the tigers tonight beat Ole Piss. Saw where there are some chances for thunderstorms. Any chance the game get postponed?

My fairly uneducated guess from looking at the forecast is that we’re on for tonight. Maybe a delayed start at the worst.

HRRR shows some pretty significant cells developing in the area around 4 pm and hanging around for a few hours. Hopefully it’s wrong.

8-4 would blame the forecast and cancel the series now to protect its RPI

The question was about the weather, not your date tonight.

That's a far out stat but I'll permit it as there will be many wild Ole Piss haters in the stands tonight.

If the field stays dry enough they can probably play after this passes through by 7.

I’m also concerned what’s behind it. Cells are training on the same general path.

Most of that behind it should dissipate once we lose daytime heating. That squall and stratiform region behind it are our trouble makers.

Thanks. I didn’t know if the storms were strictly caused by daytime heating or if there was a trough setting them off.

That stretches all the way back into KY. Pouring in KMEM. Headed generally in a southerly direction.
