Following as I am looking to do this trip next summer.
Some places I have seen based on my short research is:
Lucerne/Lake Lugano
Interlaken
Bern
Lauterbrunnen
and would have to see Matterhorn.
From my limited research there is no Hyatt hotels anywhere except the big cities which makes the planning a little tougher for me.

I have never been to Basel so I can’t help the OP much but I have been to all of the places you are going except for Lauterbrunen. That will be a wonderful trip.

Thanks for the responses. I have traveled in Switzerland before over 20 years ago. Just didn’t spend much time around Basel. I will say that I did go to both Lauterbrunnen and Bern. Bern was cool But Lauterbrunnen was spectacular. Don’t miss this. I’ll probably head to Lucerne. Would like to see some sites around Basel and maybe drive between small towns on the Swiss side of the Rhine. Don’t really have a good feel for that yet. Heading out in 3 weeks so I’ll post some info then for those planning to go.

Go if you can. It's even better in person.

Just got back and Basel was awesome. Super chill city with great cafe scene, great riverfront, more activities than we could pull off. Day trips to Lucerne, Zurich, and Colmar France. Could have done Bernese Oberland and Bern easily but have been there before and didn’t have enough time. I highly recommend Basel if you want an easy base of operations. I’d be happy to give advice if anyone heading that way.
