I’m sorry I just don’t get it. I know his dad is employed by LSU and the shtstorm that went on, he’s still there. I know they’ve been in BR their whole lives, maybe want out. But I saw a story on him and he didn’t even mention LSU, ND TXAM Auburn (brother there) are the only schools he mentioned. Call me butthurt or whatever but this pisses me off that he acts as if LSU doesn’t exist. I don’t know him but I can almost feel from just reading this that these young men hate LSU. He’s potentially an Elite LB #3 in 23 and not to mention the #4 LB TC doesn’t mention us either. Is there anything to this or is this just kids have been here their whole life and need to leave or they just have no interest in the University that I’m sure has awarded their family with a great job and comfortable income.

Get over it.

Happens all the time.

Not mad at all that Moss jr came here.

Give and take. That was a give.

I hate that people just assume everyone is up on who every recruit in the country is. Who the hell is TC?

I have no doubt that Matt House will recruit and develop the LB room at an elite level. Whether that involves Curtis or Ausberry doesn’t really matter.

Curtis is going to either Ohio State, USC or Wisconsin.

That’s been settled for some time.

Rather have kids that want to be Tigers in their heart.

Kids that are pressured into attending don't work out anyway.

No kid is bigger than the program.

When you live in Louisiana long enough then visit other places in the country, you can't wait to get away fast enough. These are facts. Deal with it son. It's not a knock on him and quite frankly, it's none of your business why he wants to leave. Broaden your horizons and you'll understand why LA keeps losing population.

No surprise, he goes to U High. School is great at producing douche bags with last names for first names and athletes that go to Alabama.

The dude has been on LSU's campus the vast majority, if not his entire school life. You want him to stay 3 more years? You'd have to love LSU and where you live with everything you got.

You know sometimes we make a big deal about players leaving to go elsewhere but its hit or miss on those guys making it big. Mose and Allen went undrafted. Sopsher didn't last a season under Saban. Let them do them and LSU will be fine.

This is a terrible take on Jalen. LSU will be in it at the end when he decides. You have to understand its very different for him because he basically grew up on LSU campus his entire life he knows everything about LSU. Very good player but its about the coach for him and development. I think BK hire was great for him as well as Matt House so it will be very interesting down the stretch on what school he chooses. he is very high on the new coaching staff if you listen to his interview 2 weeks ago on The Jordy Culotta Show.

I see what OP means. Sure I understand that some local kids want to go out of state. This is not just some local kid. LSU has fed his family. Literally and figuratively. Show some respect. Sure, be up front and say you’re looking out of state. But why not add that you recognize LSU and what it means to this state and the Ausberry family?
Makes me wonder what poppa Verge says when he’s at home.

Ever consider that both of the Ausberry boys want to distance themselves from the shadow of their dad? Not a knock on Verge Ausberry at all. Just a family dynamics reality that happens from time to time with most teenagers and their parents. They do come back. It just takes time for youths to come to realize that mom and dad aren't stupid - actually were pretty bright. Really pretty amazing they made the decisions they did so much better than "junior" under similar conditions. Growing up will do that to kids [today and fifty years ago].
