Since the space shuttle had self destruct capability I would think the Space X crafts have that ability as well.
Anyone know?

The SRBs did but the orbiter did not.

It does have an abort/self-destruct.

A self-destruct command was sent from the ground to the ill-fated SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket that exploded minutes after launching from Cape Canaveral Air Force Station in Florida.

If you don’t like Space X build your own.

Every launch vehicle covered and licensed by the FAA must have the ability to remote destruct to stop propulsion and protect people on the ground in the event it begins to go off course. It's called the fight termination system and generally, it's basically detcord placed to open up the propellant tanks or SRBs lengthwise upon receipt of a coded radio command from the ground.
The engines are commanded to shut down right before the tanks zipper open. Loss of propellant ensures the engines stop firing even if problems with the launch vehicle make it impossible to shut them down.

Every thing launched from the cape is required to have a self destruct mechanism to prevent a malfunctioning rocket from coming down in a populated area. There is a range safety officer in launch control that makes the call.
