I think Kelly needs to tell his QB’s who would start if the season opener was next week.
It’s not right for him to string kids alone. This is life changing for a player like Myles. He can’t showcase his skills if he’s not playing. He has options where he can start.
Maybe Kelly was telling him he’s 3rd string by playing the others ahead of him. If that’s the case then he needs to be honest with the kid.

He had the option to go play somewhere else. He chose to come back to LSU. If he’s not good enough to start, so be it. Maybe LSU can give him a participation trophy at the end of the year !

This exact concept is what’s wrong with America. Not everything in life is catered directly to you

The QBs appreciate the competition and challenge. This process only
Makes them better as they strive for that top spot.

Half this site was onboard with Finley because of what he did in a single game… reminds me of the Nuss situation in a sense of how ready people are to jump on with the “hot hand.”

Personally (which doesn’t mean much), Brennan did not do anything to lose the starting spot. Others didn’t do enough to flat out win it.

No he is going string them along until fall. That’s just the way it works. You don’t wanna lose 2 QBS and be down to a starter and a probable red shirt stud. If you tell them now they transfer. Maybe he truly doesnt know who it’s gonna be.

What’s the deal with all the Brennan sympathy?

Nobody owes him anything

Nobody owes him anything, but statistically speaking. He fricking lit up the score board and stat line with a shite OL and deflated defense.

The coach and player relationship works more along the lines of the coach telling the player what to improve on. the player then works his arse off to improve on it in the spring/summer, players come back and show they have done everything they needed. Coach chooses from players to run 1st team. Coach Kelly doesn’t know who is starting. Denbrock probably has a favorite based on what he wants to be able to do, but he doesn’t really know either.

The players are smart enough to look around and know if they are being passed up. See Corey Kiner, for example.

Yeah that’s brilliant let’s just start the season with one starting QB and a true freshman as his backup with no other depth lol. It’s a QB battle it doesn’t end till someone is named the starter at the beginning of the season and then it doesn’t end there you can have someone take over the job from the starter throughout the season.A TEAM is bigger than one person

I wish Finley was still here. He had a ton of experience and probably would be right in the hunt for QB2. Gotta remember that he has 3 years of eligibility left yet has played in 14 games including 10 SEC games and a bowl game.

Wtf cares? Only rantards would value someone's opinion based on how frequently they post on forum for fan boys.

How do you know he hasn't been honest with players?
While all the real experts on the board have been verbally abusing the players, Myles is too frail and slow, Nuss is a coward, Daniels is to skinny/fragile.

Last week, Kelly made it clear that Nuss is having a great Spring. Is that honesty?
Today, at half time, he said that Brennan showed maturity and accuracy and had knowledge of the offense.

They all have the summer and fall practice to seize the moment.

I suspect the ranters attacking Nuss will decrease for a few weeks.

He has had fifty years at LSU to showcase his talent.

Just found it interesting that he didn’t say anything for five years and then dropped this nugget
