This wasn't a pickpocket. The carjacker was armed and attempted to take his vehicle by force. How did the guy know the perp wouldn't shoot him just for fun?
Deadly force is justified.

When you adjust for population they commit violent crimes at a more than 10:1 clip to whites and a more than 50:1 clip to Asians.
