Going to be at Beau Rivage in a couple of weeks, but my only golf day is Tuesday when Fallen Oak is closed. Is The Preserve my next best option?

The preserve and grand bear or both first rate tracks. I played the preserve about two months ago and that is one hard golf course. The greens have an absurd amount of humps and bumps and slope and they are very very fast. That course is in mint condition and the driving range and putting facilities are first rate.Grand bear is less expensive to play and it is a great fun golf course. It’s a win-win.

Played all 3 last month
Preserve is hands down in the best shape, but is also the hardest
Fallen Oak is next for conditions and difficulty
Grand Bear is in good shape and a fun track, but it’s in the middle of nowhere
If you can only play one, play the preserve.

I played The Preserve and Grand Bear on a golf trip this past weekend. Both were in great shape. Our group couldn't decide which they liked better. The Preserve greens were faster and harder to control (for our group of hackers). The one difference for the Preserve was the front and back nines are completely different courses. The front is mostly in the trees and the wind doesn't play a factor. The back is has few holes with trees. So, at least the day we played, the wind was a huge factor and impacted us a lot.
Both places had excellent service, and we had no complaints.

I’ll add basically the same info…. With the addition of overall service. Fallen Oak is far and away the best…. With the preserve after it. Grand Bear is great to play, but the service is lackluster. I don’t know if I’ve ever seen a cart girl out there.
Also…. Don’t forget about Shell Landing. It’s a fun track as well and the greens are usually in damn good shape.

The Preserve without question. Can’t wait to play it in a few weeks.

If you’re not single digit play Grand Bear. Preserve is very frustrating to me. Have a great time

Tournament?
I planned a Thursday trip. Have a business on the coast so I need to go “check on things”

This has all been a huge help. Seems like we're going to go to The Preserve. I can't wait. 4 month old at the house doesn't make for a lot of time of the golf course. We'll see how much of my coworkers' cash I can take ;)

The Preserve demands that your approach shot be pin high or a little past the pin. If you are short of the flag you are typically faced with a 3 to 7 ft breaking putt . Hell, I 5 putted number three.

The Preserve is a great place. Make sure to get there early enough to enjoy the clubhouse and practice areas.

That actually reminds me of my one small complaint. We finished our round around 1:50. We figured we'd grab lunch and watch the Masters in the grill for the rest of the day. We were informed the kitchen closed at 2. We got our food. So, it wasn't a big deal, but it's something of note to pass along to anyone planning on eating after any round that starts after 10 am.

Y’all will enjoy. It’s tough, but a great experience. I’m not a single HC and I have a blast there.
