FINALLY got a chance to try Doe's tonight. Loved the fact I could relax in shorts and Tshirt, and still have an awesome meal.
The crab and corn bisque/soup was good. I expected the corn to be sweet, and kind of caught me off guard the first bite bc of the salty/spicy flavor. It was full of large lumps of crab, and was quite tasty.
Forgot to order the tamales after the server told us about them, looked awesome at every other table, so will def order them next time I go.
The Broiled shrimp was very good as well. Lemon and lime flavor, very nice texture, very flavorful.
The drop biscuits/rolls were awesome. (make sure to add the honey, it's on the table)
Steaks came out the best. Cooked to perfection, melting in your mouth, all around in the top 2 or 3 steaks I've ever eaten, BRAVO.
Fries were the side, and at first glance I almost passed on them. They looked overcooked and dried out, but after taking one bite, I quickly realize how looks can be deceiving. They were a very nice compliment to the steak.
All in All, I give it thumbs up. Great place for dinner, and I highly recommend it.

They must have really improved.. When they first opened the reviews were not great then I went and I didn't enjoy it. The steak I had (porterhouse to share) was a very bad cut. Although cooked right. But in the past month or two the reviews have all seemed to be positive. I might have to retry.

We went last Monday and were disappointed. The steaks were only average.
Don't think I would go back.

I've been twice and had a good meal both times. Certainly not the BEST place in town, but I haven't been disappointed at all.

What's the price situation like?

I went to Does for the second time two weeks ago. I was pleased both times. The tamales were the best I've had since Muffaletto's closed. The chili is great on them. I had the filet and it was perfect. My parents shared a 2 lb bone in ribeye and it was enough for the two of them. I tried my kid's fries and they were really good. He compared them to the homemade fries my mom makes. I agree that the salad is nothing special...I did not eat it so as not to fill up before the steak. I will go back and will recommend it without reserve.
