I was at the game with my wife and grandkids a couple weekends ago against Auburn. Only one kid stuck out to me and it was the big guy with a cowboy hat and a #12 football jersey on. He and a couple of other guys were into it. Outside of them, there was very little action going on out there in right field. We need more of what Miss. State and Ole Miss has going on in their student sections. I say we let students bring in ice chest for $20 or so to make the experience better. What do yall think we should do?

Chugging contest after homeruns. Everyone goes topless after a strikeout for a few seconds to distract from the k lady. Put a berm out there with crawfish boiling stations.

The great majority of LSU students don't give a rat's arse about college baseball. Nearly every game this season, some sponsor gives away free food for the first several hundred students who show up for the game. Some games, the sponsor has had food unclaimed and the student section is less than half full. I don't care if the students don't show up as long as real baseball fans do. Stay off my lawn!

Why $20? I know, because they're not buying consessions, but if they're not at the game they're not buying consessions. Isn't the point to get them involved and create a beneficial atmosphere?

The students generally don’t show up until Supers and CWS.

This is true for any university student body.

Truth be told, the environment at the box is not student friendly. Honestly, what student wants to go sit in metal bleachers, pay $20 for beer and a burger, and possibly get thrown out for heckling the right fielder? If you want students to show up, you've got to do more than giving them a ticket for a free 3 finger combo from Canes.

Arkansas, Ole Miss, and Miss St all have environments that are fun and an enjoyable experience for a student on a Friday night. You can't say the same for The Box

We have to do something about the marshals. Students don’t want to go hang out with those goose steppers watching over them. Hell I wouldn’t want to back when I was a student. I think we have too many corporate types and maw maws at our games who let the marshals enforce their tyrannical rule over the game environment.

Have the rest of the fan base make up their minds. When the students do show up, we read complaints of vulgar language and inappropriate shouts. When they don’t, we read complaints about how they don’t care and don’t show up. Ironically enough, it’s typically the same people making both posts.

This. They're pricks during football games too but there's just too many people in the student section for them to really make a difference.

Neither do 75% of the students in the ole miss outfield but they all go because it’s a fun party

Can I ask why you don't like college students partying at a college athletic event?

We will never have the kind of program they have.
